Michelle Cho Dr. Michelle Cho received her Doctor of Musical Art (D.M.A.) and Master Degree in Flute Performance from the Catholic University of America. She has led Flute Ensemble in the Catholic University of America and D.C. Youth Orchestra. She studied conducting with Dr. Kate Tamarkin Arnold, and she has conducted numerous concerts across the United States and overseas: Tokyo (Japan), Seoul (Korea), San Cristibal Cathedral in San Cristibal (Mexico), Centro Educativo Odres Nuevos Primaria Theater and Centro Cristiano Torre Fuerte Performing Art Center in Chiapas (Mexico), Coneculta Chiapas Theater in Comitan (Mexico), Khon Kaen University (Thailand), York College Performing Arts Center (New York), Caroline Community Center in Richmond (Virginia), Philadelphia (Pennsylvania), and Queens Botanical Garden in Queens (New York). She also conducted a performance in Maryland General Assembly in Annapolis for the Lunar New Year Day Celebration in 2006, and recently she conducted concerts with the world renowned Swedish gospel singer Lena Maria in Washington, D.C. Currently, she is a flute faculty member of the Catholic University of America and Bullis School, and she is a substitute member as a flutist for the Maryland Symphony Orchestra. She has been conducting GMC Youth Orchestra for last thirteen years.
