Haewon Yoon Haewon Yoon received her Doctor of Musical Arts in Violin Performance and Master of Music in Violin Performance from the University of Maryland, School of Music in College Park. She received a diploma in violin from the Bruckner-Konservatorium Linz in Austria and as well as her bachelor degree in violin performance at the Ewha Women's University in Seoul, Korea. She was a member of the Seoul Sinfonietta and served as the associate principal at the Fairfax Symphony Orchestra; she also served as the associate concertmaster of the Sinfonietta Linz Orchestra. Dr. Yoon is currently teaching at the Seoul National University of Education and at the Research Center of Music Education for Gifted and Talented Children program. She has received numerous awards such as the Orchestra Assistantship from the University of Maryland, the Ewha Scholarship from the Ewha Women's University in Seoul, and has completed her training for the SUZUKI teacher's program. Also, Dr. Yoon has been going to music missions to countries such as Japan, Thailand, and Korea as a string sectional coach.
